What is an "ideal amount of LORs to submit? My guess is 5-6, with a pretty good range on the type of person writing (professors, doctors..etc).

Any advice on how many and what type I should go for? Thanks!

I plan on just sending 3 or 4 LOR. 2 science, 1 non-science, 1 MD.

My plan is 2 sci profs, 1 nonsci prof, research PI, and an MD. 5 total letters.

submit strong letters...i actually had less than a lot of other people, but received a comment from my interviewer at columbia about 2 of them and how amazing they were (EXTREMELY strong recs)...

Sent 2 sciences (physics, advanced in organic chem), 1 PI from school year, 1 PI from summer (came later)...

Interestingly (or maybe not lol), my science letters were from physics+chem despite being a bio major because those are the profs I got to know better in office hours...never felt like bothering to office hour Bio classes
