hey everyone i'm about a little more than 2 months out from test day. I recently purchased the AAMC Q-Packs and Section Bank but not sure how much time i should plan in order to finished these. so for those of you that completed both resources, how long did it take you to do all of the q-packs and section bank? i've got about 6 hours each day available for studying, so should i plan for 2 weeks? 1 month? any advice helps. thanks!

Qpacks took me about 10 days. Section bank took 1 week because it was a lot shorter, that's including reviewing the material thoroughly afterwards. DO NOT do the section bank until right before the test, the week before you take the scored FL. All in all you have time so take about 1-2 weeks for the qpack and 1 week for the section bank.

Thanks for the advice. How many questions/passages were you doing a day for the qpack and section bank?

Every day is different because some sections are harder than others. For the qpacks don't take for than 2 minutes per question. For the section bank don't take more than 4

How about you divide the section bank into two exams, 50/50/50, and then take another one 2-3 days after. I suggest to do Qbank while you are doing content review.

I'd recommend starting your AAMC materials a little before 2/3 of the way through your studying. (e.g. - If you're studying for 3 months, start at little before you complete your second month of studying.) This allows you to make all of those "silly" mistakes on inferior materials and will highlight in general terms where the gaps are in your knowledge. These are rather big problems that even less accurate materials will catch. As you approach your test date, however, and your preparation has fine-tuned your test taking abilities, you'll need more accurate materials (i.e. AAMC materials) in order to diagnose the smaller problems. This phase is when you start to get into the 90+ percentile. The AAMC materials have great diagnostic tools that will highlight any problems, allowing you in the last month to dial in your last few weeks of prep. Best of luck!
