Oh no, am I sensing positive vibes on SDN? Just kidding. For gym bro (or gal), the VOLTRX Protein Shaker Bottle is the best purchase I've made this year under $25 (the black one). It makes a full protein shake in less than a minute, and you can drink directly from the bottle.

Get anything that's not related to medicine, gift-wise. The person probably had enough of medicine related things at graduation and wouldn't want to remind more of it at the moment. Maybe something that relates to a hobby that the person likes (fishing pole, volleyball, tennis racket, etc.). It can be something simple as a tumbler, a shirt, jacket, a gift card, plain cash. Cash is king in any way.

All of the following things have brought me joy recently. Perhaps your family member would love them too?

-Having TVs mounted on the wall
-Really nice pots for planting native flowers in
-A garage refrigerator for holding my kids fruit
-Really nice Keen sandals
-Having an electrician hide electrical outlets behind TVs and install them in closets
-A nice sharp part of Miltex nail nippers
-Learning how to repair sprinkler dripper hose
-A good car wash
-A cordless Dyson vacuum

I just bought a new dishwasher, but it hasn't brought me joy yet.

For MD/DO grad, probably a gift cert to a store/website to get a good stethoscope.

For podiatry grad, I'd get a name sign for the desk or something similar if they are doing a long-term job (hospital) or opening their own office. That's a cool gift that will be a reminder awhile.

If they're going to a podiatry associate gig, they probably won't make much or be there very long... and they just need cash. A congrats card with cash or gift card is the play, esp if you are not real close to them to get a personalized gift. Sometimes it's nice to get them a card for a steakhouse or some pretty fancy store or somewhere that'd usually be outta their budget (and that'll motivate them to keep chasing board cert and better jobs, lol).

This guy is also 100% right:
A high-earning spouse!

Pick out a gift and then give the cash equivalent.

A big gold pinky ring shaped like a foot with a big diamond on the hallux toenail.

I believe NaTch sells them as a side gig.
