Got a tough question. Reading a synopsis of potential causes of ulcerative proctitis and ulcerative colitis on CCFA website, I was wondering if there is any research linking external baterial infections near the anus, such as idiopathic cellulitis, with the onset of ulcerative proctitis or ulcerative colitis?
