Come on now... We all know it's not just a number game... Although it would help me a lot of it was hahaha.

The deal breaker for me is the fact that I am in my third year of undergrad (no degree planned).. so we'll just have to see how that goes.

I think you have a pretty good shot at UCSF...I think UCLA only accepted one junior (as in like you) and UCSF accepted about 8 or something. I could be wrong, but I hope you get both.

I treated myself to almost a thousand dollars in UPS costs, shipping my crap from the east coast to San Francisco. I love myself so much, I spent another thousand buying basics like soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc once I got to SF. Things I couldn't get shipped here. Moving is costly.

What a sacrifice 😀 I'd better save some money for the d-school even thou you can get loans, and gas for your 350z Nissan and buy Prius (it's expensive) , better maybe Honda Fit and start racing on it but saving gas, money, and the Earth -as you studied it in Ecology class.

You have any idea how heavy and bulky a 17" laptop is? The only difference between a PC laptop and Mac laptop is the operating system and the outer casing. All other components are the same.

The processor/chipset is the same, Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn, only the Ghz is different and you have to pay extra for PC laptops as well. I do agree that Mac users pay a premium basically for a different operating system but a much more stable one. Sure 17" is awesome but why settle for 17" when you can hook up a 15" Macbook Pro to a 24" monitor which is even more awesome cause I can watch at 1080p while you'll need to upgrade to an HD 17" screen. You get a big viewing real estate at home while something that's portable in class. Laptops are getting lighter for the 12" to 15" but not for 17". It's funny that people think bigger is always better, compensating for something?

Talk about a crazy summer. I took a week off for the wedding, got married on a Saturday, came home Monday, and continued studying for the DAT on Tuesday. Thank god she is understanding and supportive! 😳
