I'm really sad Arizona didn't call me and wonder if there is still hope? What is your advice on this..i'm really sad... 🙁''''' I called them and they said that they can't give me any information bc I interviewed already......bummer

isnt it jacked up that they told us to call post dec1 to find out where we stand and when we do, they dont say anything

I am the same boat you are. And I thought she told us that we could call. Thats a total bummer. I guess that the agony will only be prolonged longer.🙁

I guess if we haven't gotten a rejection letter than we should be fine!! I'm hoping..I think I'm going to fly down to AZ and beg admissions to let me in... 😛

I called and was told that no more calls (ie acceptances) would be granted until Jan. 15th. I called last Friday. I feel for you Tissy but on the bright side, at least you won't be a reapplicant next year. Your one acceptance is like a golden ticket.

when i interviewed there they told us that if you were accepted to somewhere else you could call and they would let u know if they thought u should take the other school's offer. But she did tell us that they would not let u know if u were in the first, second, or third tier of applicants

this sucks even worse for me since this is my only interview so far, i wish they would let me know.

many people at my school feel the same way that most of you do about status with AZ.

Where is Gavin when you need him?

Where you from Redsox? Or should I take a WILD GUESS!! If we both get in AZ, let's make sure we sit right next to each other at our bench..lol  partners in crime....lol

Why are they sending me "a happy holiday from ATSU admissions" email??? What are they trying to say? I don't get it....anybody got the same email?

~it's like people who send out thank you notes after they got interviewed...i don't get that either.

how many people do you guys think will accpet and attend arizona out of the first 25-30 people the contacted? it seems like they contacted people who they thought would get quite a few acceptances trying to persuade them.

anyone call lately to see where they stand?

They will only tell you if you have an offer from another school it seems. I did not "make the top group", therefore, I'm not counting on AZ unless I get in on July 14th or whenever their classes start🙂 Very vague information, but enough to tell me to put a deposit down on Creighton.

I got the same answer

I e-mailed and I am on the middle tier. This translates to, "you might be considered for the alternate list".

Sucks but I kind of like the way they answered my question. Some schools won't even tell you where you fit.

I'm scared to email but I just might have to...

How long did it take them to respond after you emailed?

pretty quick, like a day

Response was the same day that I emailed.

which email address did you emailed them?

Yeah, I'd like that as well. I'm going to assume it's the female that spoke during our interview session and gave us her card. I can't remember her name right now, nor can I find the business card!

This question might not be on topic so much, but can I ask why so many people are applying to Az or have it as their #1 choice? I applied there too, but since they have so few seats, they've rejected some pretty strong (sometimes very) applicants. They're also pretty expensive and have an accredation questionmark (although we're told it will be taken care of). Is there something about Az that I'm missing? Is the faculty and campus that great?

Yes, Yes, and Yes!!

wonder how they determine what tier you are in? grades? gpa? willingness to work in public health? who knows.

How many pegs you fumbled with your sweaty, clammy, trembling hands.😉

Yes, Yes, and Yes!!

Are you having an orgasm or answering my questions?

Also, anyone know if you can change your residency status there after your first year and pay in state tuition? That would be sweet.

its a private school so residency doesnt matter chief

Thanks! That explains a lot.
Tell me you saw that Nash 3 at then end of regulation...

will they only tell you where you stand if you have another offer? or will they tell you no matter what? anyone?

that was insane! I cant believe that of the 3 games played last night, 2 were on TNT, and the one that wasnt televised nationally was the best game of the season. . . AAAAA!!!

I bet TNT feels dumb now

If you ask them where you stand they will tell you, but it changes with each new group of interviewees. If you tell them you have another offer, they will make a decision on you sooner. At least thats what I was told at the interview.

i am nervous to email her since you guys have better stats than i do, that must mean i am in the lowest group, oh know! better start looking for a masters program, any ideas of a good one to do? maybe an easy one so that i can get a good gpa? thanks guys

you know, AZ is one of the few schools where working to boost your numbers won't do that much. If you plan on reapplying and going for ASDOH all the way, i would suggest getting heavily involved with public health and volunteering

I'll second what apaul said; AZ is more about volunteering, leadership, and well-rounded people. It seems they won't necessarily choose a student based primarily on grades, but on students passion and cohesivness with what they have going at ASDOH. A masters program would be great but volunteering and getting involved in your community is just as important, if not more. Those of you that interviewed there have seen that they put you in situations to see how you interact with others and display your leadership abilities.

I almost forgot... GO SUNS!!!

well i am hoping i still get in this year but if i have to reapply i will mos def. get a ton a volunteer and public health work, thanks playas.

anyone know how many spots will be available on jan 15? or does that depend on how many kids accept from the dec 1 people?

I emailed and asked for a decision to be made regarding my file. She said I was a top applicant and strongly considered. I feel like they will make a decision within 1 week.

I will let you know so you can know the timeline for this whole "request a decision".

tissy,
i was hoping someone would write something useful, but... oh wait did you really have one? hahaha jk

I haven't heard from AZ either, but I'm too scared to call/email about my status.
