If I apply in June, does it really matter how early or late in the month it is?

Just wondering. I could take the MCAT next April and have everything ready the first of June, or I could wait until May and have everything finished by the end of June. Suggestions?

If you look at the AMCAS verification thread, you'll see that people who applied in the first half of June were verified pretty soon, but there's a lot more variation in the people who applied towards the end of June. Many secondaries won't come out until mid-July or August, though... With that information, perhaps you can figure out what's best for you.

whenever you decide to apply, just try to get your transcripts in ASAP. i believe you can at least start your app and send in transcripts in may (save from whatever school you need your spring grades from). it'll be one less thing to worry about whenever you decide to apply. but i recommend the earlier you take the MCAT/submit your app the better. it was great applying super early, b/c not all secondaries are out yet--they just sort of trickle in. if you apply later you may have a ton to work on at once. you still have plenty of time to study for the MCAT, so why not start studying one month earlier than planned and aim for the april MCAT?

Well, primaries weren't even sent to schools until like the 21st of June this year.

Very true. Mid-June (around the 15th or 16th) is probably the latest you can submit to get your primary verified and sent out in the first batch. Therefore, you can take a mid-May MCAT and, if you get your AMCAS ready to go, you can submit right when you get your scores back and you'll be right on schedule.
