I would go to the best CLINICAL school I got into, not the best overall school. I would go to the CHEAPEST school I got into, not the one with the best name. And, I would have been drunk all summer.

I just wanted to give you all something to strive for as I sit here being pissed for choosing the school that I did. Sorry, but I had to vent. Good luck to you all in your interviews.

not sure, someone else will have to answer that. but seriously, consider the fact that at the end of this you need to be competent in your skill set to be able to practice. I'm not so sure that my $74K per year covers this.

No dental school is really going to prepare you to practice in the real world...wherever you go, you'll have alot to learn once you graduate, so don't worry about going to a good "clinical" school...go with the cheapest school you get into.

this is not a joke. I'm seriously bummed that the only teachers who actually care how we are doing are (generally speaking) not the dentists. Clinically, it's fend for yourself, academically, it's a situation where you have to be failing the course before you get assistance or tutoring. I came from a big school, so I'm used to being ignored, but this is ridiculous. We pay serious money that we count on making back in the future...what if we can't do that because the quality of the training is sub par?

Overall, I liked the school because of the reputation. I still do like that part of the school. I'm just wondering what people base this upon given my experience thus far.

I've been hearing the same things from my friend who is at Tufts as well. I get all the dirt on the school, the clinical issues sound very stressful, unorganized, and cut throat. The block exams seems like it's finals week every time there is a test. With the tuition they charge and the reputation they carry, I would not have expected a lot of the issues I hear. Hmm...
