If I only take the lecture portions of classes next semester, will that look bad?

On my class list now is Physics II (4 credits), Cell/molecular bio (3 credits), and Orgo but that's online so I'm still deciding if the online lab is even worth it. I REALLY suck at labs (lab dropped my gen chem 1 grade from an A to a B) and I'm 90% certain that I'll be getting a B in physics lab this semester. The lecture on the other hand is okay for me since the professor is great...Since I'm applying next Summer, If I just take the lecture portion of these classses will that make my app less strong? I'm just trying to work with my strengths so that I can to finish with all A's😳 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳

I'm no expert here, but every dental school I've looked at requires both the lecture AND lab component for the basic sciences. Ultimately, you'll still have to take them before you matriculate to D-school. I would think the labs would be easier to do well in while simultaneously enrolled in the corresponding lecture (as opposed to taking them a year after the fact).

Regardless of your DAT performance, if I were an ADCOM and I saw that you didn't take the labs, it would be a red flag. Just playing devil's advocate here but my assumption would either be that 1) maybe it didn't work in your schedule, 2) maybe you couldn't handle the workload, or 3) you don't understand the prerequisite requirements to D-school. I'm know none of the three are the case, but why risk having an ADCOM think it?

You could always contact some of the schools you're interested in and ask them what they think directly. Might as well get it straight from the source.
