HAHA I don't think I'd be able to lie b/c the shock on my face would make it obvious that I knew what they were talking about. I guess at that point I'd have to give them my sn, because if I lied they'd probably figure it out and reject me for lying.

My screenname is my real name so lying might not fly...

Ha ha, where's choice E: tell them the S/N of someone smart?

glad they never asked me. 😀

BAHAHAHA one person actually voted that they would cry.

"My screenname is Brett Bachelor." :meanie:

Has anybody ever actually been asked this?

I would say "yes...I am the bone you've been hearing about". 😱
They would let me in because of my avatar. "Love the kitty style jbone...love the avatar."

I don't think it would be too hard to figure out who I am- seeing as I am likely the ONLY premed who is seeking a degree in mortuary science.

Exactly what would one do with a degree like that (who isnt applying to med school)?

I wouldn't disclose it out of fear of getting eaten.

So they prepare the cadavers we use in anatomy lab, eh?
Well, yes, occasionally we do that (we did one for an osteopathic medical school two or three weeks ago), but far more often we just do the work associated with funerals and cremations.

I would ask them what there SDN name was and if they would like to exchange pics!!!

Come on. Some of us are so easy to discover. docBILL... hmmm with PhD and from Toronto. Wow.. I wonder how many of those are around.

I would give them "daMota"

I thought I was the only one with real name as the screenname. Glad there is one more at least! Are we the weirdos? or them? 🙂

I'd say "gdbaby".
Did you get my very late package yet? Hope you had a great holiday.

BTW: shouldn't we be putting down screen names of really sensitive nice people? I am changing mine to "jbrice" or "gujudoc". Shy, our Colorado comments would be enough to ban us from many schools if we were found out.

I called U of Chicago this morning and they cannot be bribed with baked goods either. What is up with these people?

I figure I have nothing to lose at this point by baggin' on my state school that is gleefully ignoring me (I see it in my mind's eye - a bunch of adcom members rubbing their hands hunched over our applications cackling away). No cran-raspberry coffee cake for them! I'll bring my cookies and cakes to a school that appreciates my talents. 😀 😀

No package yet, gd. But I'm sure it's coming. Probably stuck by the rockslide yesterday on the highway by Dotsero.

Had a lovely holiday - you?

As for the non-bribable folk: the probably think twinkies are the bomb-diggidy. Rather like my children's schoolmates: they think if it doesn't come from a store, doesn't have PILES of frosting, artificial colors, artificial flavors, and more preservatives than an embalmed frog in a high-school biology lab it can't possibly be good. I pity them... but that leaves MORE FOR US! YAY!

My SD name is my real name so, no fibbing there.

mine is the email address i used on my application...so it probably would be tough to hide. and i don't think i've said anything too self-condemning at this point... 😀

They know who I am if they read SDN and have seen my file (which they presumably have if they're interviewing me 😉 .) One admissions director has talked about it with me at one of my interviews, and I've discussed the MCAT subforum with some interviewers also.

Just to point out that 3000+ posts safely qualifies SDN as an EC. 😉

Yes, Rayhan. Your 1000+ does not demonstrate a true commitment to the discipline.
