If you've used Chad's videos...... only for DAT or can I use for class?

I have an A going into my 3rd Orgo exam. The reactions are killing me. I have spent hours and I still have only scratched the surface. My 3rd orgo exam is in just over a week and then the final.
I was considering purchasing Chad's videos in the hopes of maintaining my A. Youtube helps a bit but they seem to only show fairly simple reactions.

Thoughts?
Any other tips?
I've tried memorizing from different angles.....as in looking at functional groups and finding out what to add to a carbene to get there. Mechanisms ......can boggle my mind when it's a big molecule and there is more than 1 double bond.
I have 3 other classes that require a lot of work too, so I'm praying I can maintain this pace. I have A's and high B's coming down the home stretch here.

when i used his vids to study for the DAT, i remember thinking that I wished i had used them for the classes themselves. absolutely use them for your classes! he covers A LOT.

Don't buy the DAT Videos for class, they don't go into enough detail. Just go to his website and go to videos, select college chemistries and you can view all in depth videos meant for class for free.

Khan Academy is amazing and quite possibly one of the best things ever invented. Chad's videos.....for everything! And its free! Win, win

Chad is perfect for the DAT.

It would be terrible to rely on Chad for your classes. If you have trouble understanding the general concepts, then Chad can help. But you really need to know the details for your classes, and Chad can't help you there.

As someone mentioned, he does have a free section tailored to gc/oc classes.

👍 take advantage of these things! sometimes the teachers + textbook don't covey the basic ideas in the clearest way. wish i had used other methods of studying for orgo and chem.

While I had an awesome teacher for ochem he wasn't the best lecturer and a few times I ended watching the free videos on chadsreview and I got an A in ochem 1 and 2. I think you should watch them they helped me tremendously!

Even though Chad doesn't go into details of mechanisms, he explains the concept really well that not many professors can pull off. I believe if you get the concepts down, it will be easy for you to recall the mechanisms you learn in lectures.

the orgo you learn in undergrad is way more than what you need to know for the DAT. I sucked at orgo in undergrad, but chad's vids helped me do well on DAT orgo.

i never used videos for organic chem, i found that doing as many practice problems from the textbook works best for me, that way you dont need to memorize reactions and you just have to understand the underlying concepts so you can figure out reaction mechanisms logically. but hey everyone is different, ive just never been a fan of memorization. its mostly acid-base reactions, nucleophile and electrophile reactions and pH's.

I used Chad's videos for my first quarter of organic chem! He explained things soooo much better than my professor and I'm so thankful for that! Although I couldn't find some topics we covered in class on his website, most of the stuff is on there! I would definitely recommend using it to its full potential!

Also for ochem, I purchased the solutions manual for the book and worked 10928301293 problems. That also helped me out a ton! Good luck! 👍
