Hello guys, Im an brazilian optometry student and i would like to make contact with professional or students from another countries.
Here in Brazil optometry is not very popular and its not "legal" too.. we have many issues dealing with ophtalmologists (they think we are going to steal their job) and just like a lot of things here, it doesn't work very well nor fair. The richest class (medics) still dominating.
I'm graduating as a Bachelor, we have only one university in the whole country that gives a bachelor diploma (and it's having some problems with the educacional system, probabily will not offer this couse anymore).
Graduating in 2014 I'm planning to move abroad, to study and work.. would appreciate your comments about how does it work, as being an foreign graduated optometrist on your countries.
