I've been complete at a handful of schools for like 2 days now, and not a peep. I'm at my volunteer shift at the trauma center right now, posting this from my blackberry.

wow. I've noticed you've really been going nuts lately...more posts in a month or two than i have in like 8 (or something like that)

It takes a little while sometimes to hear back. Committees have to review your complete file to make sure you pass the screening requirements, and then decide on interview invites.

Hang in there, and like several student interviewers/hosts said on my interviews, call every week, sometimes a couple times a week to keep track. I know we banter sarcasm around, but seriously, good luck Texas :luck:

Did you really mean 2 days?? Geez, lighten up. Your application is not the only ones they are looking at. Now, if you had said 2 months, I could understand, but 2 days??

Just take a deep breath- I think it'll be at least a week before you hear back from anyone.

I think it was generally one to two weeks after being complete before I heard anything from the schools. DMU was 3 weeks and I still haven't heard from some schools. 2 days is nothing to worry about.

I think you need a drink! I think you are fine though. I am sure schools are getting tons of apps right now and are just sifting through them.

You have to post in pre-allo to get the full effect.

LOL so true... I feel your pain texas, I have been complete at MSUCOM for a whole week and still no word.

BTW how can I check which of my application materials are in at PCOM, LECOM, and DMU. Other schools have online systems but I wasn't able to find it at these schools. Help?

Just call them! Everyone that I've talked to has been really nice, since they are not too busy at the moment (it's still early in the application season) 😀

 I knew you were being funny 😉 I pay attention to your posts 🙂

I did too. I just like to watch everyone else's response. 😀

Dude, not to like, burst your bubble or anything, but I think its a bad thing. I had a friend that his roommate didnt hear anything back for like... a week... then all he got were rejection letters. And unless your gpa is like a 4.38 and you have a 52 on the mcat, your screwed man. You need to volunteer somemore. And research something, anything, just so you can put it on your resume. That should help.

Did you make sure to put down the right voodoo type for the different regions? I know some of the high shamans get pretty pissed if you put down you studied the wrong kind of magic for their school.....

Wow, you're going to have a tough time waiting for your board scores some two years from now. 🙄

Give it some time.... by time, I mean at least a couple of weeks. You wouldn't believe how insane it is at the admission's office. Papers everywhere. I've always wondered why they don't try hiring extra staff just for this time of year, but nobody seems to.

Politely make inquiries every couple of days to make sure your paperwork is complete (medical schools are notorious for mixing this up and failing to notify people about incomplete applications). But outside of that, you should try to relax and wait at least a couple of weeks. I'd only start to be really concerned if more than a month went by without any response.

sheepish, i am.

you're kidding right? i think you are anyways..

If you call DMU admission's office they will tell you what materials they have recieved.

Thanks guys, thats what I shall do. I just had a bad experience with one admissions office. When I asked the person to check, admissions lady gave me such a piercing look it shook me to the depths of my soul. 😱
I felt like the people in those Southwest commercials, WANNA GET AWAY.

Dood.... its been like four days, have you heard anything yet??! I think your chances decrease exponentially each day that goes by...... My blackberry has been online since I submitted mine so I can check at all hours of the day if I have an email.

My satire of the people on this board (including myslef) has gone completely unappreciated.

No it hasn't. I've been laughing at all of them. The good looking premeds one is my favorite.

That's the freaking truth. I've been looking over there a little more, and that board should be re-named "40-year-old virgin" board. 95% of the posters over there are going to die of heart failure before they make it to medical school. Kind of a shame, because I'm sure they're a bunch of smart folks.

Didn't realize that this thread was in satire. I don't read sarcasm well online.
It's good to see that people are keeping their humor through this whole process.
