OUCH! Which school was this (if you don't mind me asking?) Did you interview at this school? That really just blows my mind that they would inform you that way. I hope the body of the email was a little nicer...

I just looked at the email again...my bad, it actually said "DECLINED" not "REJECT"....I guess my feelings on the situation clouded my memory, sorry. (In my defense, I got the e-mail way back in October...of course, I still feel dumb.) Also, I did not get invited for an interview...I haven't gotten a single interview, and I applied to 11 schools. (I am still waiting to hear back from 3, but I'm not holding my breath.) Anyhow, it was Kentucky that rejected me by e-mail. I do have to say that after paying all of the fees, I would have appreciated and actual letter, but oh well...at least it was a very well written, helpful, and generally kind rejection, minus the subject. It's funny, some schools certainly "let you down" easier than others!

OK, so I'm not losing it...when I check my status on the USC website, under status, it reads "reject"...and nope, I didn't get an interview there either. There, now I only feel half a dumb 😉

haha well, i guess at least they are letting you know?! I've heard from people who never got anything back, not even a rejection letter. well, best of luck with the rest of the cycle!!! i'm anxiously waiting for an acceptance as well...

Don't give up hope! If it doesn't work out this year, just reapply. It shows the admissions committees that you are determined and this is what you really want. Try not to get too discouraged.

Hopefully I can hear something from Howard soon! I just don't think I will be hearing anything which will ultimately mean, you're rejected!! So, I'm looking to next cycle (although I have been highly advised to just give up 🙁).

I know this doesn't really pertain to this thread, but can you use the same LOR's from this cycle for the next?

Holy crap, in the past week I've gotten the "DENIED BECAUSE YOU ARE A LOSER" letter from 4 different schools. Is it that time of the month or something? I'm starting to have some major self-esteem issues here, geeez!!!
Anybody body else getting the long hard brutal shaft of rejection lately? I'm starting to walk funny. . .

I had no idea my thread was going to be so popular, and such a hit. And it had nothing to do with my suave looks or charming personality, I don't even have an "avatar"... There have been nice responses, mean responses, empathetic responses, and ignorant responses. (Yes Mikecheck12 you are still, in my opinion, and most fortunate for anyone in need of a good douching, a huge douche-bag) I would not hesistate, if given the opportunity, to enthusiasictly shove my alligator boots up your arse, but I digress... Ah, the beauty of a public forum. I should have tried to get an advertising deal with google. P.S. I don't remember who said it and I'm not going to look for it, but I did NOT get into my state school, I got waitlisted, and there are 3 (yes, three schools) in my state. . . . . . .so ain't that some weird ****? And I haven't gotten any rejection letters this week like the 4 I got last week, so my *** is a little less sore. Thankfully.

For my case, I would just like to know something because right now it is around the end of the road for this cycle, right? Do you have any idea if you can use the same LORs from this cycle for the next? Thanks 🙂

i have some good friends that either are waitlisted/ rejected from dental school. i know what you dudes here go through. 75% of predental applicants were pre-meds jumping the ship, hence jacking up the competition.

i hope some of you guys get in, cause i cant find any good dentist to go to. most of my dentist around my house just want my money and after that they kick me in the nuts.

i did a lot of research into the dental admissions. and frankly i dont like what i learned about it... good luck to you guys.... and god speed.

Probably because he's been hearing about how hard it is to row the pre-dental hoe and wanted to give us some encouragement and empathy. I see nothing wrong with that personally.

Not only is that completely FALSE, but it is also a very offensive statement and it's not nice that you come over to the pre-dental forum to say that kind of thing 😱 .

Try applying for three years to probably 49 schools over that time. You want to talk about DENIED! HA HA, things are looking up this year though. Keeping my fingers crossed.
