I'm going to fail

I have an Orgo exam tomorrow worth 48% of my grade, and I just know that I'm going to fail because I only reviewed the material for one day, then went to the movies today to see the Scorch Trials (it was so good) 🙁🙁. My mom likes to show me off in front of her friends of how I have straight A's in college, but now I know that my luck will fall short. My mother told me to stay home and study instead of going to the movies but I couldn't help it!!

I just have my Organic Chem class every wensday (3 hour class) so the teacher just give us a general overview of the new material and then we have to go home and "study it" (a.k.a teach it to ourselves). But I just started studying the new material yesterday, I know how to do it but I haven't mastered it yet.

And yeah...this was my vant.

I didn't think a school would offer a 3 hour once a week science course outside of intro level courses. You learn something new everyday.

Yeah I know, but if you knew me personally, you'd know that going to the movies with friends is my weakness.

Sounds like you kinda screwed yourself there mate. To boot you went to a movie today when you knew you had an exam coming up that you weren't ready for instead of studying for it?

Either you're a troll looking to see how badly people on this site go off on you for how much of an idiot you are, or you're just a young idiot who needs experiences like these to tell you not to be an idiot anymore.

Hopefully its the second one and you learn to not be an idiot anymore.

Also if you are real, try to get out of that momma's boy role. Chicks normally don't dig momma's boy's.
 
Funny, I got a 48% on my first Ochem exam...worth 25% of my grade 😛

Okay, not so funny. OP, don't wait until the last minute to study. If you hadn't, going to see a movie really isn't a big deal.

I'm not a troll and I'm a girl. Everything that I've talked about in my posts are the truth and I was hoping to get this off my chest because I have so much anxiety that I can not sleep right now and it's 11:00pm

Also I don't think any guy has ever said that going to the movies with his friends is his weakness.

Ok, well either way don't get so wrapped up with your parents and what they do, be your own person. The other part of my post still applies, hopefully you can use this experience to make better life decisions in the future.

Also Scorch trials was nowhere near as good as the maze runner.

@NotASerialKiller, you'll learn once you get into med school that if its not on the test, you don't care about it. If astrological symbols is on the next block, I'll know it, otherwise I don't care.
 
Your priorities are extremely skewed. I'm pretty sure they will show that movie tomorrow after your exam and I doubt you really need us to tell you that was foolish but maybe you do so OP that was incredibly foolish.

Also the maze runner sucked.
 
She could pray to the ghosts of Ochem past, present and future. Perhaps Jiminy Crickett could take her on a magical journey and she could change her ways and retake it next semester.

O'Reilly's "we'll do it live" was my anthem for more than a few exams.

You'll be surprised at how much you can absorb in 12 hours. Cram. The trade-off between the marginal cost of tired and the marginal benefit of information is a skill you'll need to survive college.

how about you use that adrenaline to pull and all nighter and save your grade lol
 
If you're trolling, you're at maybe 2/10.

If you're for real, you have a lot of growing up to do and deserve the F.

Try Khan Academy or studying with your classmates.

My best advice is to drop the course and retake it next year.

If she had crammed for the night it might have been okay but if not then I agree for dropping it
 
I read troll postings about failing while procrastinating on my studying... is that bad? lol

Yeah but we're talking about not failing this one exam, not taking the MCAT. You can all nighter cram for orgo exams and then still review later for the MCAT and ace the physical sciences section. Thousands of people have done this.

Additionally, orgo was by far the easiest part of the old MCAT (it's probably similar for the new one, though someone who's taken it can correct me if I'm wrong). I mean, come on, multiple choice organic chemistry? Where's the challenge to that?

OP, just pull an all nighter so you don't fail and then take steps towards learning how to manage your time better in the future.
 
If staying up all night makes you legit ill see if you can get a make up exam.

A little Munchausen's?

"Everytime I stay up all night drinking 4 5 hr energy drinks on an empty stomach, and run cantolope melon over my lips to which I am deathly allergic, before showing up for the test, then I end up with puffy lips and after sitting down to take the test I run from my chair to the trash bin and start ralphing right in the middle of class. Since my stomach is in such bad shape and the drinks were red, it could be a GI bleed running down the side of the bin in full view of everyone. Then I have to self-adminster an epi pen right then and there while the instructor calls an ambulance for anaphylaxis."

Retaining the material is not a priority at this point lol, saving the grade is

And orgo is not even on the new mcat for the most part 🙂
