Hey, sorry last question! for those IMG's who are applying now, who are currently completing a year paid internship in med/surgery, under the work experience section of ERAS, did you list it as 'residency' or 'osteopathic internship'? I know this question was touched on in a previous thread, and 'residency' was kinda the going feeling; just wanted to see if there were any other opinions out there...

Well you can list it in work experience. If you choose residency, then the MyERAS asks u to select the specialty, so you would have to make lots of entries in there bcoz we rotate thru all deptts.

So the best option is that you can make 1 entry under work xp

If you list it under "prior training", choose "residency" and then for disicpline/specialty choose "Transitional year".

Don't list it as an osteopathic internship. That's something completely different.

Hello hermes I am in international medicince student and at this moment i am very concerned about the us clinical experience, but i see that you have plenty of it. How did you do to do your internship in the us. Can you give me some directions please. Thanks in advance my dear friend 🙂 .
