Anyone know where I can get a certificate to preform immunizations? Anyone know if maybe the government offers free training to preform immunizations if I vaccinate so many people for the government

Thanks.

Your school will probably offer an immunizing class.
In most states, you have to pass an ACPE accredited immunizing course and be certified in CPR. The APhA site lists a number of upcoming classes.

What year are you at USP?

I think they were mentioning to us in some class that USP does an immunizing program for P4s (possibly P3s?)

And I believe there are no free programs.

P3.

I didn't hear anything about that in class.

I know if you work for acme as a pharmacist you get trained to give immunizations.

I guess ask some of the pharmacy practice faculty. They'll know.

I believe the APhA classes cost about $50. It is not that expensive, once you consider it is an all day program.

For me, the immunizing program was free because it was done by my school.

You're a P3 at USP and have time to think about immunizations?
Anyways, I think there's an immunization course that is offered by PPA or APhA or through PSHP to get certified. But the certificate would expire after 4 years or something.

It's offered from APhA and its a 1 day event that you have to do some readings beforehand. I think it was around $100 and it expires after 2 years. They offer it at least 1x/year at USP.

You can also contact your state board, most states have a list of available classes. If you in pharmacy school, wait till they do it, it would probably be free 👍
