Hello sdn users,

How important do you think composite letters are?
My school offers composite letters, and due to a situation, I may not be able to submit my composite letter application on time. I am aware that the schools will ask for explanations, but do you guys think a low-quality composite letter application (at least on my part) is better than not getting one at all? (I am mainly wondering if my application will be much of a minus if I were to not have a CL at all.)

Got interviewed at 5/7 without one. Just make sure you meet each programs requirements (e.g. Maryland's chem letter)

Composite or Committee letters from your school will not make or break your application. If your school offers the option, then take advantage of it. My undergrad's pre-health office had very strict requirements in handing out committee letters. They were usually 2-3 months later than the expected time frame which will affect your application date electronic submission. If you have extraordinary extracurricular activites, then a committee letter can accommodate for all the LOR's you may provide.
