Important question abt. MCAT testing concerns!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you have a technical problem like that, you should contact the AAMC immediately with such an issue. You should insist that the testing center report it immediately. The testing center has a reporting mechanism for that as well, but you should be very proactive and contact AAMC directly. If the issue is substantiated, you will likely get the void and a free reschedule.

Hmm, okay…thanks! But I was just reading the AAMC testing center concern form and this is what it says on the bottom:

Test Center Concerns submitted in a timely manner will receive a written response detailing the findings of our investigation. If a testing irregularity is confirmed, you may provide the written response to any interested party as documentation of the incident.

The AAMC will not reverse your decision to void or score your exam as a result of a confirmed test center problem. No exceptions will be made to this policy under any circumstances. Furthermore, examinees who complete their exam and submit it for scoring despite the occurrence of a testing irregularity are not eligible for a refund or a free retest.

Doesn't this mean that they will never void no matter what? I'm confused…

No, what that means is that if you have a 'testing irregularity', which could be almost anything from computer problems to complaints about a too noisy testing center, and you FINISH the test and decide to submit it for scoring they will NOT void your test after or offer a refund/re-test.

If you have a problem with the computer or anything during you test and you do not finish because of that problem, and everything is correctly documented, and you void your test, then you should be eligible for a retest.

However, of all the things to worry about going into the MCAT a computer issue shouldn't be one of them. Don't worry about things you can't control and focus on what you can.
