Hi Doctors
well this my first post on this forum my name is Jose Rodriguez and I am 22 YO also I am a Peruvian dentist well I am actually studying a especialization in Implants on Brazil.
Well my biggest objective and dream is to work as a dentist in USA, Canada or Australia.
I have some friends dentists that work in the US and 1 that works in Canada and another one in Aus.
Well talking with them they told me that now the best destiny for me would be either Canada or Australia cause there you have e bigger market and bigger oportunities to succeed.
I wanted to get some suggestions from you guys which destiny would be best for me?Cause as soon as i Finish the especialization i will apply.
Thanks.😀

By success do you mean money and busy practice? If so, I've been working as a dental assistant in different dental practices and I can tell you it is very much up to your ability of marketing. There are many successful dentists here in California, and there are ones who are skillful and knowledgeable in their field but not necessarily good businessmen, or money makers.

Hi Ranama 🙂
Yes by Succes I mean basically Money and Busy practice.
Yes Ive heard that also now Australia offer better conditions for Dentists Also Canada
What do you think?

Man... You don't even know what you'll apply to and the requirements, which are really different going to USA, Canada or Australia.

Just a heads up, doing your specialization in Brazil doesn't give you any leverage, I speak from my own experience, I got my Orthodontics degree in Brazil in one of the best schools, one considered top 3 in Brazil, I came to the US and that doesn't change absolutely nothing on the process of working over here.

USA, Canada, Australia, doesn't matter, any of those have better market than where you are right now.

When I was doing my research to come to the US I remember seeing something like:
-Number of dental advanced standing programs in US (the entire country) - 52
-Number of dental advanced standing programs in São Paulo (Brazil's major CITY) - 60!!!!

Only in the same neighborhood that I had my dental office in Brazil we had an entire building (20 floors building) only with dental offices!

Take your chances! Do your research, and go forward, opportunities are there!

=D
