Hi everyone,

I was hoping someone might be able to give me some advice on how to improve my bio score with 2 weeks to go.

For AAMC 3,4,5 i achieved an 11 in all, then 7 and 8 it dropped to a 10. Took AAMC 9 today and got a 9 attachFull188033. Verbal for me has been pretty consistend ranging 10-13, and physics also pretty consistent ranging 10-12. I am a Canadian student, so getting a 12 in Bio is really important to make sure my options are open for med schools.

I just don't know what to do to improve my score! I am practicing using the hyperlearning science workbook, and began watching khan academy videos to refresh my memory, but something isn't clicking and I only have 2 weeks left. I would really appreciate some advice/support. Considering I do well in verbal, I thought I would do well in bio (since it's a lot of reading comprehension) so I'm pretty disappointed. on AAMC 9 i got about 9/15 organic chem questions right, and 26/37 biology questions right which actually seems to mimic my scores in the princeton workbook. I've just begun the princeton workbook (navigated though maybe 12-15 passages so far) but went through all the material from the actual princeton bio book already and all the end chapter questions from there, plus 1/3 from berkeley book #1.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hey, I've had similar trouble but in the reading comprehension aspect since I suck at VR. You seem in range for a 12.
Are your mistakes all content-based? If so, figure out which topics and tackle a lot of passages on those topics on EK1001 Bio (easy) and TBR Bio (hard). I like and am working on TBR and TPR advanced passages for bio, so try to do as many as possible of those. Try to do almost all 15 TBR passages per chapter in one sitting to help with the endurance as well.
Also, another thing that seems to be helping me keep a fairly solid content base is making concept maps using past notes and info from TBR.

Thanks very much - all good ideas; will make some concept maps for chapters as I review them, and then do practice passages. It's a mix of content and passage-based.

Just did AAMC 10, got an 8 on bio (10 physics and 11 verbal) - just wanted to bump this thread to see if anyone can help! i'm freaking out.

I'd say focus on 2 things primarily - a very thorough review of the bio sections of your AAMC tests and take a large amount of experimental bio passages. Experimental passages is a growing trend in the BS section, even from the earlier practice tests to the later ones.
My best recommendation at this point is to assess your weakness, focus on them, tackle a bunch of experimental BS passages, and review, review, review.
Good luck!

thanks very much - just downloaded Chad's videos for Bio because I think the content is severely lacking. Making it a crash course essentially.
