I'm looking for an in-person class somewhere in the LA/NY area. Does anyone know if these classes are being offered yet?

Berkeley Review will likely never offer live, in-person classes again. After refusing to do online classes for years, COVID forced the issue and we converted to online for the last three weeks of our Spring 2020 course. We hoped to be back to in-person quickly, but our hope to run live classes faded with each new mandate. We only had four centers to begin with and we folded in Malibu, Irvine, and Westwood in Summer 2020, closing our doors for good. The Berkeley classroom is still a possibility, but it is not equipped for COVID safety, and the site manager there has not taken any steps to make it so. If done with correct spacing, the classroom could hold twelve people at most, and I'm not sure they will do that.

The harsh reality is that live in-person courses are much more effective for the student than online classes, especially in a setting with twelve to twenty students, like we used to do. It was so personal and our students thrived in that environment. Communication was clearer and students stayed tuned in when it was in person. Even a hybrid course mixing online with in-person would be better than purely online. Online classes with upwards of thirty to forty students are not optimal.

Best of luck finding a in-person course. At the very least, maybe you can find a small online option where you meet for live office hours.
