Hello guys!

I recently got admitted to two dental schools in Kentucky. I have lived in Kentucky for 19 years, graduated high school in Kentucky, and am considered in-state by the school I attend currently for undergrad. 14 months ago, my parents moved out of my state, but their address in Texas is technically my permanent address.

Upon getting the emails, I discovered that one of the schools offered my a in-state spot, while the other offered me an out-of-state spot. I really want to go to the school that considers me out-of-state, but don't think it is worth double the amount to go there. Does anyone have any idea what I should do to try and get in-state?

Call the school and explain your situation. It may just be a clerical error on their part. If you haven't declared residency in Texas, you should still be a Kentucky resident (in my mind).
