I am writing an in the area email and I have a quick question. Should I mention that I am in the area because of another interview invitation? I ask this because I am also writing about my continued interest in the school. So, I don't want to be like "this is why I want to go to your school," then "I am in the area interviewing at another school."

Just say you'll be in the area. Don't have to mention why.
