I just got an email from UCSF today, saying that my sup is incomplete because they dont have my AP scores and rec letters. 😡 I understand how they can loose my AP scores or it got lost in the mail, but, what happened to my rec letters? I submitted my pharmcas in august, and USC and UOP got all my stuff. What should I do since they said I can't call their office? Should I ask PharmCAS to resend my stuff?

Have anyone else gotten an email from UCSF yet regarding their supplemental?

I think you should call and ask. Just in case. If USC got your LOR's then i think there is a misunderstanding. Definitely call. The staff there were pretty helpful and nice when I called. Also, about AP scores, when I called them and asked when AP scores were due, they said they extended the deadline to December 1st because the Collegeboard wasn't sending the scores out in a timely manner. So defintely ask them about that too. Hope this helps

Yeah I got a similar e-mail, it was weird though because it said it was incomplete but it didn't list what was missing. I got an e-mail yesterday though saying my AP scores were recieved and now its complete. Well hope everything turns out fine for you too :luck:

just wondering, when did u guys submit ur supplemental apps?

last minute.. October 31st

yah, me too, oct 30th~

well..i just called pharmcas this morning. they said they will resend my references. the lady on the phone said it's strange that they never received them cuz they were sent out like in september~ anyways~ i guess they just have soo many applications, and it's easy to loose something🙁

Are we suppose to receive an email from ucsf no matter the app is complete or not complete? How will I know if they have received the materials or not?

I'm guessing they will send you an email in both cases, since others have received emails saying they were missing stuff. I know they do email you to notify you that they have everything and I was surprised to hear from them so soon. I mailed my supp on 10/6, it was received 10/10 (my AP score was received by them around this time too), they cashed my check on 10/22, and I got an email from them on 10/30. I wasn't expecting anything until late-November because they tell you to expect at least a months wait for notification. I'm thinking that if you turned in your app closer to the deadline, it might take longer to get any notification because a lot of people did so too and your file may be at the top or bottom of the pile.

If you don't get an email by December though, I would email them. I remember hearing some applicants who didn't hear anything, and upon asking they were told that they lost their application! But in the end they had delivery/signature confirmation and were able to resubmit it. But they get over 1000 applications, so I guess just wait it out. I'm nervous with all of you, I don't know how I'll be able to wait the month and a half!

pinkuru, I just saw on the UOP thread that you said you just submitted your pharmCAS. Maybe the reason why you may not have gotten an email from UCSF is because they haven't gotten your PharmCAS yet either. Just check your designations to see when they finally mail it out, and hopefully you'll get an email within a week or two of that 🙂

I called UCSF and they told me mine was complete a long time ago. However, I never received any e-mails about it. So.. I'm not sure if you get e-mail if your application is complete. It is a poor reflection on their part to "lose" applications if indeed it is true that some applicants material were sent.

I received an email Monday confirming the completion of my application materials.

I guess my situation is a lil different. Yesterday, James, the big shot over in the admin office, CALLED me. He said that my application is missing some information and he asked me right there over the phone. It was just one question on the supp that i forgot to answer, something about when i moved to California. Thank god i picked up b/c i just started my nap and didn't want to be bothered. Perhaps i would have gotten an email too.

did you take the opportunity to ask him any questions? just curious.
Wow, Western's beginning to make phone calls for interview invites and UCSF is personally calling applicants.
