I was looking through my AMCAS app and I realized I accidentally put 10x as many hours for an activity as I needed to (there's a loose zero where it doesn't belong). If I call AAMC to modify this, what is the process? I'm nervous that I will need to wait a month so I'm thinking of just biting the bullet on this one and explaining in my remaining secondaries...

Honestly, I'd just leave it unless it was brought up in an interview. I find it hard to believe that one activity would make or break for your application and pointing out a mistake might be more trouble than its worth, People probably inflate hours all the time, and although it was unintentional, it probably won't be noticed.

There's no way for AMCAS to fix stuff like this. Just contact each school and explain the error and how to correct it. This is better than not doing anything and having a school check to see if your activity is true which could result in you being rejected.
