TBR says that increasing the concentration of ions at the cathode or decreasing the concentration of ions at the anode will increase the voltage of a galvanic cell. However, I do not understand this. Can anyone explain? Doesn't the flow of electrons go from the anode to the cathode, so why would the cathode be considered the "reactants" in a galvanic cell. Or is the term "reactants" at the cathode not correct. I use that term because I'm thinking of Le Chatelier's Principle. Any help/explanations would be much appreciated.
