All is well....sad to hear abt those seizures though
did a little too much (Over-) therapyfor your HLB (hot-love-bug) syndrome did you?

I have to tell you more about my interview sessions with clinical psychologist and psychiatrist. It is damn interesting sessions of treatment. Did i tell you that my therapists were hotties? What would you expect in manhattan mental institute? If you are interested in knowing about my session, i have no problem revealing it to you hopeful.
I dont think nimmy shingala is going to stay in toothland forever. he is gonna come soon to this thread if he is my real buddy. I will bet on that any time and anyday.

It looks like no one is interested in taking a scoop about poor NYers road to recovery. However, i am not gonna let it go without telling to hopeful.
I know it took more than few weeks of treatment. It was kinda being in love rehab institute. Thank god it worked.

Actually, i was referred to high end private clinic in park avenue where celebrities come for treatment. I was told that even Mike Douglas came for treatment to the same center for his compulsive female addiction before marrying that cutie zeta jones.

I am not gonna make this story as big as my usual stories. let me keep it simple.

Firstly, i had screening evaluation by a harvard trained psychologist. She was hot as hell with leather mini skirt showing off her waxy legs. It took atleast 5 minutes for me to take off my eyes above her pelvic girdle to answer her questions. She hypnotiziced me to assess my basic psychological profile. I dont recall what she asked due to the trance phase of my sub-conscious mind. I guess it was more about my SDN love story and how it ruined my life. She told me that i was one of the more pathetic patient they have seen in their clinics several year of female addiction management practice.

That clinic has special treatment protocol and assessment criteria to evaluate a patient. They also have grades for their patients sickness. I fell under grade 4 scale of addiction which is a major degree.

I was impressed with their special techique for evaluating a person. They put me into a closed glass chamber with monitors to check my heart rate, rhythum and pupil diameter..specialists observed me from outside thro invisible glass.

That glass chamber was exactly like FBI interrogation chamber we have seen in some thrillers. then they showed me video clips of super hotties of the world. It included some brazilian models, romanian, russian and one indian too. at many times my heart beats were tachying, fibrillating like a sparrows heart and at one point it even tried to jump out of pericardial chamber when i saw some hot clip. Some one came inside the chamber and cardioverted. then, addiction specialists decided that i am a difficult case to deal.

The course of treatment were all invasive.
ECT.
Acupuncture. One oriental specialist even stuck some acupuncture needles into my scrotum.
Alternative treatment.
Finally, it worked.
My heart now just beats to live.
I am clean now. thanks guys for making me a better person. 🙂

My dear nimmy-

Where are you, buddy?
I feel like a right transhumeral amputee without you in this SDN fantasy land.
I am like a surgeon without his scalpel in the OR
Cardiologist without his stethoscope
Gynecologist without her speculum
Dentist without his forehead light.

Man! Do i deserve this abandonment from you? This thread is nothing without you, buddy. I know you treated this thread like your second baby and groomed it every day and night with vitamins and regular immunizations. I do remember every turns in this thread which happened since it started.
How could i forget your support when NYers scandal got exposed to the world? You stood by me like Hillary man!.

ShowLetter1.jpg

It is alright you abandoned me in your second mega production called some devdas. You should have atleast given me some guest role. I do regret for that flick not having a box office hit like our cabbydoc, MD. still you got some support from desi chicks with your SDN exit drama.
I have also pulled that exit drama in the past in the SDN lounge. but, always came back within weeks. then stopped pulling that stunt.

Whats the deal with that toothland drama? You dont have to leave SDN to start your dental school in SF. What is that have to do with coming to SDN?

Work while you work. Play while you play.
that is NYer policy.

Come back my friend.
If you are not here. I am not here.

NYer.

Hello im new here just joining up

but here is me

just go to the menu and hit nikhil

I don't usually post on this thread ... but damn Nikhil, cool website, cool pics ... maybe medicine isn't your calling. I would ask how you got your website to look like that, but there's no point. I wouldn't have a clue.

The Walt Disney Concert Hall .... Frank Gehry is just so cool. I have only seen two of his buildings in person (MIT and my new home of Case Western), but I could just stare at them all day. I definitely see how a photographer would love them.

Your India pics ... ahh, I miss India now. Funny, while I was there, I couldn't wait to leave. Now even your dissection hall pics bring back fond memories. B'lore is a great city. Seems so much better than Houston or my soon-to-be home of Cleveland.

My only suggestion ... while I certainly appreciate the Asian form, some Indian babes would be nice 😉 They are crawling all over the place in B'lore!

Good job! 👍

well data it depends on what you are looking to do really?

i mean are you very into photography than a Dslr is the way to go but you have to keep in mind that with an slr you need a lot of accessories firstly lenses different lenses for dif situations. I remember on some of my days i carry around a lot of equip with me for dif kinds of shots. I used to do wedding photog and my vest used to weigh about an avg 30 -40 lbs =X if your lookin for a camera just to shoot with i recommend going for something more like a prosumer camera

then what gives the best quality picture? dslr or normal slr?
why are dslr better than just normal digital camera?

another thing can i use my old nikon lens for dslr?

if you have a nikon dslr sure u can... but as with the canon dslr's they use the canon mounting system so you have to go with canon lenses... personally i prefer the canon system better as i like the lenses and the camera.... the advantage that dslr's have over normal slr is that they are digital and you can fully edit ur images on the comp. where as traditional film is way more limiting. Dslr's give way more control over the image etc. And they have the perks of a digital camera like instant review etc.

a dslr vs a normal digital cam is that as seen in most normal digital cams with a high mp sensor is that the area between pixels is sometimes greatly reduced... so a 6 mp dslr will look wayyy wayyy better than a 6 mp consumer digi cam ... the reason for this is noise electronic interference in high res cams that dont have the chip area to support such a high res can lead to bad results.... its like imagine a grid that is 4 ft wide with half foot spacers compared to a grid that is 1 foot wide with 2 inch spacers which is easier to look at and easier to figure out details without visual interference and then u have to look at lens changeablility with a dslr where as with a normal digi cam u cant change lenses for me this is very imp because say i am doing wild life photog i want a high zoom lens so i take my current lens off and slap a bazooka on there =) where as with a digi cam u cant do that these are just some of hte quick things i can think of there are a lot more details than this...

but what are you looking to do you should tell me that maybe i can help you betteR?

Well i have been on safaris and i had a telephoto lens with my nikon slr(film not digital) and it was good. My family has sooooo many weddings. I pretty much have about 7 a year. and they always make me take the pictures to a point where i got sick of doing anything so i haven't gone to a wedding in 3-4years. But i did love to take photography. Digital cams dont' let me do anything with it. I want to have fun with it. I want to go north and take pics of aurora borealis. But i heard normal digital cams can't capture them. The real hassle was changing film.
QUESTION: i need this answer is film better than digital? what has more resolution?

Another question. the monopod(one stand) do you have any use for this? i have a tripod which i take everywhere i find that the monopod is a little better on the go. Does anyone use this? My hands tend to shake a bit so the autofocus takes a while on normal digital cam. Cause its freaking cold in canada...even in the summer.

well personally i would take my dslr over film any day to me film has absolutely no advantages..... having said that

i think if you are familiar with photography and slr's than you should go for a dslr... if you take a look at my gallery and go to the photography section and check out the night pics... those are all done with my digi cam ... actually most night photography now is done with digi cam's not film because film get a lot more noisy at long exposures than digital. Especially my dslr is awesome for long exposures. i can take about a 5min exposure with little to no noise. =)

i think there are certain digi cams that have cooled ccd's (these are especially meant for night photog only as the ccd is cooled there by decreasing visible noise)

The nice thing about digital is that you can see your results instantly and this is especially usefull for night photog because sometimes you need to tweak exposure drasticly.

so i would say go for a dslr =) i think you will be happy but advise me a price range and ill give you more info..

ooh and im not sure what you meant by this " Digital cams dont' let me do anything with it."

oh i dont use a monopod much i do have one but i tend to hold my camera fairly steady =) just have to work on technique i actually found a monopod to be more of a hinderance.

i do use a tripod a lot as i do a lot of landscape / pano's / night photog

i have IS lenses for my dslr too so that helps a whole bunch

so you can't really explain why digital cams u can't take pics of the aurora borialis? is it due to the long exposures?
What do you use ur camera for?

IS lenses are image stabalization the lens moves the optical element in the lens to counter your movement...

i use my cam mainly for night photog and i think my digi is much better than film at long exposures so i dont see why they couldnt take pics of the aurora borialis perhaps you could link me to where u read this to see if it holds any water ?

http://gallery.noabsolute.com/ check out my photography section and check out night if u dont believe me these are all my works =)

Oh and i use photoshop to tweak my pics mainly

if i wanna get crazy you can shoot in raw mode which is a mode where the camera does no processing for you at all
and you control everything (total control WAY more than film in this mode)

so what part of cali u from and where's ur pics? =P

ya the body only cost me around 1500 and this was about 2 years ago..=)

but i love it i am thinkin about upgrading to the 1d mark II no the 1ds becuse i dont need all that extra res (u really need to know what you want from each camera) the 1d mark II shoots 8.5 frames per second which is awesome if you need high speed photog say if ur shooting wild life or fast moving objects and its focus is lightning fast... its the same as the 1v body style but is digital and 1v is film =)

Edit: body only is without lenses you have to look into what glass you would want.. =)
