I will be taking classes this coming academic year as a way to improve my application incase I don't get in to medical school this year. The school that I will be attending is a much smaller school than where I did my undergrad. and doesn't have as many options as far as upper level Biology courses, so should I incorporate some philosophy courses as well, or should I focus only on sciences?

focus on science. the main reason gpa is important in the first place is so you can demonstrate your potential for success in medical school-esque coursework.

if however there are only a couple UD science classes available each quarter, then definitely take some filler courses as well... most important thing though - take classes that you will do well in, but your focus should be science.

21 of 27 credits that I would be taking would be strictly biology. The other courses would be philosophy and maybe sociology or something that I know I'll do well in. Thanks for the input!
