Hey everyone, I was hoping to get some feedback from various fellowship programs in Hematology/Oncology regarding how inpatient admissions and coverage in general are handled. I know certain programs have hospitalists that cover admissions, others with residents and such. Just curious, thanks for any input. At my particular institution the admissions and coverage are handled by hospitalists for the most part. I have looked into this on many programs and have found limited detailed information regarding exactly how this works.

Thanks

I'm not sure I understand your question. You seem to be asking if onc admissions are handled by hospitalists or the onc service primarily, and then give examples of both situations. It seems you've already answered the question for yourself. Both models exist. Neither is prima facie better or worse.
