Inquiry: medical Student Research Fellowship

To anyone that has experience with summer or year long clinical research fellowships...

I am a second year medical student at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and am searching for research programs for next summer or for the year beginning in 2006. I've looked through the NIH's programs and there are so many opportunities...however, they are reserved for the NA schools so I'm out of luck! Does anyone know of any US based clinical research opportunities akin to the Clinical Research Training Program at the NIH available for Euro Medical school students?

Take a look at Johns Hopkins' website. I have seen a few European med students here on campus.

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute has an excellent program for medical students wanting to do research for one year. Their website is www.hhmi.org.
