ok, i'm studying GC & obviously electrons have a neg charge & they repel each other (VSEPR). ok, so how do protons not repel each other & stay in the nucleus? some subatomic intramolecular adhesion forces i'm not thinking of?
i researched a little & found it's called a "strong force" which is obviously stronger than the repulsion of the positive charges.
i don't remember learning this in GC...but it was 5 years ago.
