I am attending Michigan State in the fall and I recently took the placement test. I didn't do well at all. I got placed into intermediate algebra. In high-school I took pre calculus and I got a B and an A in both of the semesters. It just seems like my pre med classes are so far away. I will do everything I can to finish well in my four years. I also wouldn't mind taking summer semesters as well. I've done very well in all of my science courses throughout highschool and I took all IB. I know it's different in college but what can I do to help complete my pre med classes in four years? Pls reply

You can ask to retake the test or argue that it did not represent your abilities in math. But depending on whether it's a remedial course or whether or not it's a college level algebra course designed to put you into calculus afterward it may be necessary for you to preform well in your next math classes.

Well essentially I would move from intermediate to pre-Calc to Calculus. The only bad part is that I have to wait until my second semester of freshman year to take Gen Chem. I want to to Gen Chem two in the summer so I can get caught up before sophomore year.

petition or sign a waiver; they likely have to let you enroll in the math you want to even if they don't recommend it

I hadn't taken french 1 in a year and failed the placement test, signed a waiver against their recommendation, got an A in french 2. bit**es.....
