Hi, I am a new member of this community. This is my first thread. I am an international student/sophomore at LSU with a 3.38 GPA. I do not have any clinical or research experience, but will start research in the summer. I have looked online and noticed that most medical schools do not accept international students or that they hold the applicants to a very high standard. I will not be getting my green card until 5~6 years later which makes me as of now an international applicant.

And also I have been struggling only in my organic chemistry class, should I retake the course if I made a C in orgo I and possibly another C in orgo II if I do not pull of a good Final. I feel as if I need to re-take the course again because I did not learn enough.

I would love for some suggestions right now because I am really lost. Should I put off applying to Med School and getting my Masters or PhD first? When should I take the MCAT? I understand my application is not very strong; what can I do to improve it?
