Hi everyone,

Many of you may be interested in an exciting internship opportunity in Ghana to screen for operable cataracts, coordinate the sight-restoring cataract surgeries, prescribe eyeglasses, and educate Ghanaians about the prevention of trachoma, river blindness, and vitamin A deficiency.

This international internship (November 1, 2004 through January 15, 2005) is a continuation of a successful Summer 2004 internship offered by Unite For Sight (www.uniteforsight.org) and Ghana Health and Education Initiative (www.ifmsa.org; http://www.ifmsa-usa.org/oldsite/ghana/). If you would like to apply for the internship, contact [email protected]

Is this a volunteer position, or a paying internship. I am interested in it, but i am an married independent student who has to work and go to school at the same time so vacation time is when i can do some real work to save up for school and provide for my family. Hence i really cant afford extensive volunteer work so the only way i could do this is if it were a paying position.
please let me know

thank you
