Does anyone know how to get IRBs for international research work in India? We are planning to go to Calcutta for clinicla volunteer work and related survey kind of research in an underprivilledge area and we are not succeeding to get forward with IRB approval. Is there a better website for asking this question?

Talk to your school's own IRB. At the very least, you need review by them for exemption or approval. They can also hopefully point you in the right direction. Do you have a faculty member as well (i.e., a PI)? They should be the ones you are talking to.

Also, think about whether what you are doing is research. A survey that is used to determine the health needs of one community is not research. However, a survey from one community used to generalize about other similar communities is research. Either way, go talk to your IRB!
