hi every body

I am new member here.
I am international trained dentist.

I would like to ask if there is any available observation program of prosthodontics in Boston.

Are there observation programs in any of those schools(Harvard, BU, Tufts)
Is it easy to get in observation program?
Is that will help me to be involved in residency program for next year?

I will appreciate any single information.

We know tons of information. Just nothing related to whatever it is you're asking about. Do you want to spend some time at a Pros program "shadowing"? Hanging out? Watching others work? For what purpose? Or are you interested in applying for a residency? Since you're so incredibly specific in what you want and where you're looking why don't you simply call/email those THREE programs and ask?

I've heard Harvard and Tufts have good (expensive) pros programs. Don't know anything about BU.

Hi Mackchops,
O.K sorry I did not explain my situation.

I wanna apply to prostho residency and working on it but according to what I know it is too early to apply for 2012 programs.
I am now in Boston Kaplan school preparing for NBDE I .So, I think it is good idea to be involved in one of those schools while I am staying in Boston without practicing dentistry and it will help me in application for next year.

thank you very much.

So contact the school and ask if you can shadow, assist, volunteer, whatever. I can't imagine any school going through the trouble to set up some sort of formal "observation program"...

Haha, yeah, spending too much time definitely hurts you more than anything. Typically what happens is that you annoy the people you are "hanging" with and then when application time comes rolling around, the group says "oh just please don't let that guy interview"

To get into those programs you need your basic scores (NBDE, TOEFEL, GPA etc) but most importantly, you need to have proof that you can pay for the residency. Most programs that have a ton of internationals typically care about the $$ than anything else.
