What is the latest for an interventional pain management salaries? What do they typically start out with for a base salary in both academic and private practice.

Also, I was wondering, how can future physician find out what salaries they should start with? Is there a salary guide? how do you go about this?

In all serious matters, where do you look for salary and benefit info? GlAss door, indeed, fellow colleagues? PleAse help?

Yawn. Check job listing websites... google search "how much money do Pain doctors make" etc.

yep,

a bit of a millennial move to think their time is so incredibly valuable that they just post a question, instead of doing some research on their own first.......

After taxes you will keep what the manager of Best Buy makes before taxes, which is less than the drug reps get as a bonus.

MGMA doesn't seem very useful for most people coming straight out of fellowship unless the job posting specifies it. From my experience in the Mid-atlantic to NE, salaries were close to 10-15% MGMA in jobs near actual cities (So roughly 250-300). I do remember postings that my cofellows and I looked at that offered 50% mgma + loan repayment + whatever else you wanted out of life except living near people, but the job was in the middle of nowhere midwest.

As a recent graduate, I'll say that I didn't see anything like MGMA to start. I got a lot of better paying offers for doing straight anesthesia. However, with pain, you BUILD the practice. Work hard and do things right, you'll be fine.
