i dunno, i never took a statistics course. i was thinking that meant that i was in line for 2.43 acceptances... not chance of one acceptance.constructor said:lol, is that how texans do their probability... i guess it's no longer a surprise why the president has done what he has... how can it possibly be 243% - it has to be between 0% and 100%. even if every place you interview at accepts 90% of interviewees, your probability of getting in assuming you interview at 10 such schools will be less than 100% but quite close to it. it's a binary distribution where each interview is independent of the other interviews. so in this case it's analagous to the probability of a 90% free throw shooter missing all 10 shots, which doesn't have a negative probability, of course. but with your stats, indy, i'd say you're pretty close to 100%...
