UOP: 100%
UCLA: ~95%
UCSF: ~50%
Loma Linda : ~50%
Western: ~66%

(OOS Stats. Most are similar though)
Midwestern AZ: ~50%
Midwestern IL: ~70%
Tufts: ~80%
Detroit: ~80%
Michigan: ~60%
UNLV: ~55%
Columbia: ~55%
Case Western: ~80%
Pitt: 15% OOS 😱 58% Instate
Temple: ~73%
Marquette: ~40%

Mainly what I learned for myself is that if I get interviews from UOP and UCLA, then I have a great chance! If I get a lot of interviews and have to decide which ones not to go to, then I'm not going to go to Pittsburgh!

Wait, you mean to say UoP is 100% in-state? That's not what I found.

I am a Cali resident, and so far have gotten interviews from Midwestern (AZ), Nova, and Buffalo 😀 Hopefully I will get in. Good luck to all!! I also applied to all the California dental schools besides Loma Linda...:xf::xf:

No I meant, UoP prefers Cali residents 100%? I didn't think so.

what i mean is 100 percent of people that interviewed at uop were accepted, not 100 percent of people that interviewed were from cali

Do you know the ratio of interview invites to acceptees for NOVA? Do they offer a lot of inerview invites making the selection pool bigger and more competitive?

there was no data on nova unfortunately 🙁

Oh ohkay, thanks for clarifying

How did you find these values? Did you divide # of seats by # of interviews given? Or did some schools just give stats on the % accepted after interviews? The stat on Pittsburgh seems horrendously low.

I have the ADEA book as well, from my memory those numbers seem accurate... some schools give data for in-state/OOS applied/interviewed/accepted. I remember seeing UoP accepted all that were interviewed.

lets keep this thread alive for Cali residents! 😉

According to the OP, Cali residents who are getting interviews from Western have a 66% chance of getting accepted! Good luck everyone!! :xf:

Burning question: Do you think it hurts you if you are a california resident, but go to an out of state school?
