Agh...

I got asked a question recently during an interview:

"What course did you have the most difficulty in"

The thing is, this is the second time I got asked this question, so I'm wondering, why was I asked this again. I guess as to why they asked me this is because my grades slipped during the first three years of undergrad. Hence, I did a postbacc and whatnot. was this an opportunity to explain and then make a positive note and tell them what i learned from it and whatnot? that's what i ended up doing ... sigh... dang, i bombed this one...

Unless it was twice in the same interview, I don't see why you would feel singled out. It's a pretty standard question.

they wanted to see how you would handle not doing well in a class
its a standard stress management question

Eh?

I think they were asking what class gave the OP the most trouble...what' strange is that they didn't ask "why" or "how did you deal with it?"

you are supposed to answer the question then talk about how you delt with it, not just say biochem or physio or whatever and end it right there

I guess it comes from growing up in a house full of lawyers. When asked: "Do you know what time it is" my answer is "yes". heh

haha...most interviewers will ask the follow up questions, but some will want you to answer those parts without being asked
which may have been the case in OP's situation
