I got an interview invite for Wednesday the 30th. I'm so happy!! I thought I wasn't getting one. First I began to lose hope, then I was comforting myself for not getting in; but I still have a chance. Thank God.

I wonder what this means to those who interviewed in the first round? Did they not like us so they are interviewing to fill up? I'm confused with KU they really seem to be interviewing everyone this year...has anyone heard yet if they got in? 😕

I had my interview yesterday and they said they haven't sent out any acceptance letters yet. They told me I should hear in 2-3 weeks, after the admissions committee meets after the last round of interviews on the 30th. They said I should hear in 2-3 weeks, and if not to call.

Was the last round of interviews definitely on the 30th? I called the office today and the woman I spoke to said they're still conducting interviews, she wasn't sure how many more though.

doesn't look too good for those who have already interviewed...they are one of the last schools to let anyone know anything and for those of us who have to let other schools know by May ??? it doesn't look like we will know from KU............

I am also wondering if they hated all us first-rounders. It is nerve-wracking, to say the least!

Word on the street is they are mailing out the letters this week, finally. Good luck all. Glad I'm not one of many that freak out and feel their heart jump opening the mailbox when i see an envelope, only to find another bill I need to pay.

They are having a "Final Friday Meeting 5/19" for people who are on the "bubble" and then sending out all the letters. They have sent out some rejections letters already, so if you haven't recieved anything then you still have a chance. Gosh another weekend to pray and hope...ARUG! Good Luck everyone!!!!

Does anyone know of anyone who has gotten a rejection letter? Has anyone on these forums received one? First they are sending out letters this week and then they are having interviews still...so who really knows? They should at least let those interviewed in March know something by now. What does on the "bubble" mean? This is frustrating especially before finals!!!! 🙂

They should've finished interviews last week, unless they called someone back for a 2nd interview. I spoke with the assistant dean Monday and he said I should be in, but there's a last meeting Friday to make sure everyone is on the list who's supposed to get in. So I guess I'll be receiving an acceptance letter next week!

Well, at least you can expect good news. I'm not sure which way things are going to go, so it is driving me nuts. Let us know when you hear for sure, so we can prepare ourselves for our own letters 😉

Ok, I'm only slightly (aka extremely) obsessing/worrying, or whatever you would like to call it. Mostly because I have to work out living situations based on what is going to happen next year. That and I just want to know, which is probably about where everyone is.

I stopped by the pharmacy office today, and they said they still have not mailed the letters. The receptionist said she was currently "stuffing envelopes" and I asked when I might be able to get the letter. She said since I'm a KU student I would get one Thursday if accepted. ugh......more waiting!!!!!

Yes, again...we will hear later this week after finals...those in state and just like UMKC out of staters will know next week...but for those of us who will be accepted at KU then those of you on the waitlist at UMKC will have a chance to move up that is if you are not accepted at KU...you will be here sooner than you think!🙂

Stats if you are wondering: I live in Kansas. Have a 4 yr bachelor degree in Poly Science. (Thought I wanted to be a laywer but changed my mind) 2 yr pre-pharm courses at JCCC. 3.95 Cumm. GPA. PCAT-Not HOT. 🙂

You might make sure it wasn't sent to your permanent address. I was told that the School doesn't like to send out these letters during finals week because 1) students should be concentrating on finals and 2) lots of people are leaving town around this time.

I just found out today that I was admitted--KU student, okay-ish GPA (around 3.4) and 95 composite on the PCAT.

You might make sure it wasn't sent to your permanent address. I was told that the School doesn't like to send out these letters during finals week because 1) students should be concentrating on finals and 2) lots of people are leaving town around this time.

I got in!!!!! I'm a KU student, and it was mailed to my Dad's house. Yay!

Interesting. Got a call from Dad today back home and he got my letter. Turns out I didn't get in. 83% PCAt, 3.81 GPA, 1.5 years pharmacy work experience, good references, in-state student. I'm extremely surprised, guess my interview didn't go as well as I felt like or something to that nature. Gotta keep on keepin on I suppose.

I guess they put a lot of weight on that, which is something to know in the future. I'm looking on the bright side that people that got in KU may go their instead of UMKC, and then I will get off the wait list there 🙂

I was shocked to be outright denied, not on the wait list or anything, but it is up to them. I would like to know how they decide, though.

Wow that is extremely surprising. I'm sorry about that. I wish you best of luck for UMKC. Must have had a freak class for Fall of 08 or something!

Yeah it seems strange you guys with the high stats weren't accepted.....I got in and I only had 3.4 gpa, 72 % pcat!

First off, thanks, you are making me feel better

I was really nervous and am bad at interviews. I didn't think it went that horribly, though, but I guess I was wrong. I know that is something I need to work on now, so it isn't a total wash. I feel so embarrassed to tell my recommendation people, though. I really wanted to go to KU, too, especially with the new program where you get early experience in the summers.

I sent an email asking for feedback, but they haven't responded, and I doubt they will. It was worth a shot, though.
