I have an interview next Friday October 1st at Temple Pod. Although I am not nervous I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips to better prepare myself for it.

Also is there anyone else on this board going for an interview there next Friday? I'm staying in the hotel they're providing and they said it would probably be with another applicant.

Thanks in advance!

It was pretty chilled out, just go and be yourself

Go up to the top of the page and find "interview feedback" tab. All your questions will be answered there.

The interview at temple is not bad at all. Just be yourself.

Exactly, I went last Monday and it was really low stress...the hotel was nice, cookies were awesome and the students/faculty/staff put you at ease pretty quickly...

Go have fun with it!

When I was a student there, I was asked to help with the interview process. I also help interview prospective medical students at the medical school, I'm affiliated with.

Be respectful and dress appropriately. If things haven't changed much, a student will be giving you a tour of the place and I encourage you to ask them questions about student life.

When you interviewed, they expect you to be somewhat nervous, but one thing they do look for is your general posture. Avoid playing with your hands, or your shirt, and when speaking, try to maintain eye contact to a certain extent. If you're staring at the ground when answering questions, it won't help. If you tend to sweat in stressful situations, bring something to wipe it off with. It is slightly distracting to see someone wiping sweat off their brow during an interview, but its worse seeing sweat pooling on their shirt collar.

Otherwise, as others have said, try to be yourself and answer their questions honestly and truthfully. The one question they tend to ask and I'm not sure why is "Why Podiatry?".Don't BS, because they see right through that.

Good luck, and if you could, please post your impressions of the interview after you've had it.

LOL, I love that you mention the quality if the cookies!!

Just be your self and it's a pretty laid back process. I'm a first year that just started a month ago so if there's anything you need just let me know and I'll be happy to help. O and the double tree does have some pretty amazing cookies. Good luck!
