During my last interview, I was simply appalled when I saw how short some of the female interviewees wore their skirts. I was under the impression that the skirt should cover at least half the knee, but I saw plenty of skirts that came above the knee. Is this acceptable?

It depends on what you mean by "above the knee". Skirt just above the knee, but entire knee still visible? Acceptable. Mid-thigh? Not so acceptable. Here's a thread with all sorts of information about what's acceptable and what's not:

I disagree. I don't think the entire knee should be visible and think this is inappropriate. but maybe i'm just conservative???

Jeez. what do toy have against knees? But yeah, I think your probably being a little too conservative.

I must add, I'm sure subconsciously men tend to show a bias in favor of women they find attractive, so showing a bit more skin ( as long as they aren't obvious about it) probably helps to some extent.... Just sayin

If the skirt ends right at the knee when standing, it will scoot up a few inches when you sit down. This is fine.

If the skirt ends 2-3" above the knee when standing, it will scoot up to mid-thigh when sitting. This is... pushing it. Though if it looks good, most won't complain. :meanie:

i don't have anything against knees. all i'm saying is that if the skirt ends above your knees when you're standing, then it moves up to your mid-thighs when sitting. no?

my skirt ends just above my knees and def does not ride up to mid thigh when sitting.. i too think you are being a bit too conservative. Appalled for skirts that go just above the knee?

it dosent matter that much for her. If I ever have the chance, I'd go with pants.
