Interview date selection

As the interviews start coming in, I'm curious as to how everyone is selecting their dates with programs they want to go to. I got an interview from a program that I'm very interested (near the top of my list) and I'm trying to decided whether to get it done quick, wait a while or put it off to the end.

Thoughts on strategy for date selection?

I've been advised to put the programs I expect to like the best in the middle. The first one or two most people have a lot of nerves and do not ace and by the end most people are sick of interviewing and it is hard to make it sounds like you are really excited to answer the same questions for the 100th time.

The more you try to strategize, the more likely you are to F*** things up. The only strategy you really need is:

1. Get interview offer
2. Schedule interview (whenever...seriously...just schedule it)
3. Go to interview
4. Don't be a total d-bag at interview
5. Profit!

Just go to the interview, be yourself, and use it as an opportunity to learn more about the program and whether you think you would really like to go there.
