I have seen on the schedule for a couple of my interviews, questionnaire and essay. Has anyone seen this before? I am just curious what types of questions they will be asking so that I could be somewhat prepared for them.

Any help would be appreciated...

What school would want you to write an essay? 😕

I know Drexel does something like this, and I'm sure some other schools would want students to do it too. Why is that confusing? It seems like a good way of getting the students' impromptu thoughts fresh on paper instead of in an essay that has likely been mulled over/edited for days.

Check the Interview Feedback (top of the SDN website if you haven't gone to it yet) for the schools requiring an at-interview-day essay. If it's not there, I'd say just wing it. I doubt they're going to harshly critique your essay; they probably just want some perspective on you as a person. As with the interview, just be yourself.

Good luck.

I think a lot of pharmacy schools do this for their interviews. Maybe you can check there.

Interview day essay that's gotta suck, but like ap594 was saying it's probably just to get some feedback on their school or presentation or staff. I would doubt that they would actually use this in their decision making process considering how stressed everyone usually is, so I really wouldn't sweat it.

...Or maybe you should I'm not a mind-reader.

i do believe it becomes a part of your file at Drexel.

just sayin'. i didn't apply there for exactly this reason. the idea of an essay that "counts" on interview day when people are nerved up to begin with - that's really really dumb.

Agreed - why would you waste time writing an essay when you can simply ask someone a question during the interview?

If I found out now that an interview had an essay and it wasn't my top choice school I would probably withdraw. No thanks.

That's extremely stupid. You think after all the other crap they expect us to do they'd give us a break once we got to the point of interviewing.
