Hello everyone, I was hoping to get some advice.

Around a week ago I was invited to interview at a school for their established DO program. Around two years ago they opened an MD program and today I was invited to interview for the MD program as well.

The MD interview is earlier than the DO interview, and I'm worried that if somehow the admissions will know that I applied for both will somehow hurt my application?

For instance, if at the DO interview they ask why DO when I also interviewed at their MD program, will it make my answer seem less genuine?

I'm sorry if I sound super neurotic, but I really would like to attend this school and don't want to ruin my chances.

You're worrying about nothing. If this was something they cared about, don't you think they have the ability to screen you out before offering you the II?

If it’s Nova, be aware the DO school is(was) have issues with low scores on something. The are on @Goro ’s list of schools to be aware of. Maybe ask him what’s up.

Do a little research. Do the schools have the same Dean of Admissions?
If No, then its not an issue.

EDIT: If it’s Nova, be aware the DO school is(was) have issues with low scores on something. The are on @Goro ’s list of schools to be aware of. Maybe ask him what’s up.

Nova: Two of the four last years have declining first-time COMLEX pass rates. They're back up to 90% but that’s still not good for a veteran school. I’d expect > 95%. On top of this, some 7% of their 2018 grads failed to match. This was the second worst match rate among all the COMs (only WCU did worse). This is NOT a good sign. These are all things you expect from a new school, not a veteran one,. And as such, I suspect something is very wrong there.

If yes, it's still not an issue.
