don't mind me...i'm just so heartbroken and frustrated...i just need to rant. I spend a grip of money on airfare, parking, hotel, etc. so that I could interview at george washington. not only was my interview cancelled at the last minute, due to weather problems, but i had to endure, crying/puking babies, a large woman next to me who overflowed into my seat, her ultra strong perfume, and constant airsickness...i have called earlier about changing my schedule, but i don't think that i'll be able to coordinate it with my g-town interview, and i really don't have any more days off from work and can't afford to book another flight. it was such a freaking waste of time....i'm so bummed. 🙁

I feel so sorry for you! I would be really upset if this happened to me. It's unfair and it just plain sucks. I think G-town should reimburse your expenses because they were the ones that cancelled at the last minute. Getting them to do that could be a problem, though...

that really blows....

i understand the work situation you are in.......
both time and money are our enemies.....

ive been having to support my family for the past severals years since my dad left us and my mom is too sick to work...

and like every dollar we earn is hella precious and to see it wasted like that on a last minute cancellation would make me pissed off too.

can you talk to GWU and explain to them your situation at least? maybe keep out the part on the babies and such but yeah....

they should feel partly responsible.....
i mean we may only be medical school applicants in their eyes but we got feelings and situations too.......

well i do hope you the best of luck tho.......
if ya need to rant again.......feel free and PM me hehe...

That is a shame, but D.C. was almost totally shut down yesterday and today (Friday). That means no trains, buses, Metro, government offices, etc..... Rush hour traffic didn't exsist last night.

And to add to your pain... Isabel wasn't the horrible storm they lead us all to believe it was going to be. Aside from flooding in Alexandria (which floods when someone blows their nose) we have only minor damage. However surrounding areas...There are wide spread power outages, though which is a problem. And other areas are flooded or flooding as water runs off.

Maybe they would consider a phone interview??
