I check this forum every day just waiting to see if anyone has gotten an ivitation to interview yet. I havent, but I will be sure to post as soon as I do.

If any of you have recieved an interview invite, please post it here with the school, date you completed your supplemental, and date you recieved your invite.

In Texas, we can't even start applying to most schools until September 15th! UT has a first date of October 15th.

I think some people have already started getting interview requests. I saw some threads for that. Someone has gotten a request at midwestern and another at Loma Linda.

I applied ED to VCU. There was no supplemental application, and they offered me an interview on August 17th. I'll be there on September 15th. Wish me luck.

Me too! They got everything. I emailed them and they sound so cold "we might interview April and May." I thought that is the last interview date. Anywayz, please let us know if you're invited.

but u guys should hear something soon. they r really nice people!!

What should I wear to the interview? This is assuming I get an interview. Should I come to the interview with two crutches and a cast on my arm, or should I wear glasses? 🙄

I would not mind posting a picture of me on this forum, only if everyone would provide an input on what I should wear, how I should dress, etc. Should I talk about how great their pharmacy school is, or what topics can I bring up during the interview?

This sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. Should all applicants send you pictures of themselves in their suits because besides your extensive writing experience you have experience in critiquing people's dress?

Could not help myself.

Answer: Do not come right out and kiss their asses but you should definitely bring up why you think the pharmacy school is a good fit for you and explain why. Wear a suit and comb your hair, make sure your belt matches your shoes and you are good to go.

I also just thought of something else, the night before and the morning of an interview, you should think about what you eat. Bad gas would not be a fun thing on the day of an interview, so might be a good idea to stay away from old Taco Bell or spicy foods.

Did they send you a letter stating your outstanding pre-requisites? I got a letter saying that I still needed to complete a couple of classes and I am just wondering if you got the same thing?

no, they didn't send me a letter about any missing pre-reqs. i was shocked at how fast they respodnded to me. i dont know if they had already reviewed my app. before i submitted my supplemental or what.

I got an interview invite this morning via email from the University of Minnesota! I submitted my pharmCAS on August 20th and my supplemental on August 22nd. My interview is October 12th. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

I submitted my app 8/23 ED for VCU. It was mailed 9/4 and I received an interview this afternoon (9/10) for 9/22!

it's for sure that Loma Linda hasn't start inviting people for interview yet. I called them to ask about their progress in reviewing applicants for the Fall 08 class (I began to worry after reading these posts since I completed their app in mid-June), the lady kindly told me that applications don't get reviewed until November/December, since their deadline is in December. I didn't specifically ask them if they do rolling admissions, but it doesn't sound like it. Good luck LLU applicants!!

I got an invite today to interview at mercer on September 28th. My pharmcas was sent on August 20th, and I got the e-mail telling me that my application was complete on September 8th. I got the email today (sep 13th), inviting me to interview on the 28th. I just thought that I would share this in case any of you are as impatient as me🙂

The one thing though is that,it is in two weeks and I hope I will be prepared by then. I also have to fly from Texas to Washington DC. By the way, I'm on ED

Nope,I got a call from I believe Ms. Sconion who later told me that I will receive an e-mail confirming my interview invitation and what to bring along with me.

I can't imagine the interview is already next week. I'm both excited and nervous

I can tell you that it's a closed-file interview, so the professors don't really know what you did in college outside of class (volunteer service, clubs, etc), nor do they know your GPA or any slopes you had along the way, so they won't know your academic trends. Just make sure you sell yourself at the interview and you should do fine. I must warn you, however, that they are very disorganized (as you'll find a lot of the interview feedback posts say). You simply have to be patient. Just thought I'd give you some feedback. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the advice,the only worries I have right now is that I'm a person of few words. I hope that would not turn my iinterviewer/interviewers off.

Like you said,I'll try and talk more about my achievements, how that has transformed my life e.t.c.,. Though I find it awkward,cos it makes me feel like I'm proud and showy you know.

I guess I don't really have a choice.

I got an invitation to the Early Decision interview for University of Kentucky on October 11th. I took my PCAT in June, and August. I had my application completed in the middle of July.

sure, 3.1 overall, 3.0-ish science, 94 pcat, lots of ECs/volunteerting/2 years pharm experience

not super stats, so i think the key is to apply early! hah

It just sucks that the closest airport is over an hour away. I think my mom's coming with me b/c I cant rent a car and navigate highways by myself lol

Dang, I feel so singled out by that email now. Lol. My interview day is Oct 19th. How about yours? We didn't even have to confirm anything for the interview, right? That seems kind of strange.. Unless I missed that part in the email.

Awh your Mom is so nice! My stepdad met me in AZ for my interview today. If I go to VA though, I'd have to do it on my own. Scary!!
