Interview invites in Dec - Jan?

Hey guys!
I'm an IMG, need visa, 200+/220+/pass/step 3 low pass. I've applied to 100 programs, got 1 i/v and 13 rejections so far. Other programs keep silent even after my follow-up letters.
My question - is there still any hope of getting invites in December and January?

Maybe someone from previous years can say something encouraging?

Got my last invite couple of days ago. A friend got an invite January last year and matched there. There's always hope be it slim, i guess..

I received several invites this month, including one from a program I had previously expressed interest in. At this point, unfortunately, there aren't a lot of interview dates left (most don't interview at all around Christmas/NY) for most specialties -- but it may help if you express interest and your willingness to travel at last minute's notice as some programs scramble to fill interview spots for late cancellations.

Why don't people email PC's inquiring about openings? Don't ask about status updates...your status is that you're rejected. Unreject yourself by getting a Space available interview. Considering that the interview and interactions with staff and residents are the most important factors that determine where you are ranked by a program...why not?

Depends on the field. I got one earlier in January but my field interviews quite late in the cycle, historically.

I just got one a few days ago, in California (I'm a NYer). Weird things do happen.
